For all new members whether you're new to cycling or just new to the club. Our calls and rotations are different to other clubs so we ask all new members to attend even if you have previous bunch riding experience. Whatever your experience you're guaranteed to learn something and have fun.

About the Event
On the ride we go through our SCC calls and hand signals as well as how bunches do rotations and change lanes. After that we head down to Botany Bay practicing those skills along the way. At Botany Bay explain the basics of pacelining then head back to the park for a complimentary coffee and chat.It's a fairly flat 30km route and we go at a steady pace to accomodate all skill levels .
All attendees must... • have an AusCycling membership https://auscycling.org.au/become-a-member • read the Etiquette Guide https://www.sydneycyclingclub.org.au/etiquette particularly the calls and hand signals section • have a road bike with drop handlebars in sound mechanical and roadworthy condition • have a reasonable amount of bike skills and fitness to keep up with us. If you can complete 7 laps of Centennial Park in an hour or less you should be fine (27kph average). • have front and rear lights if riding in the…
